About Renée
My philosophy
It’s a balance of knowing when to step in and when to step back, so nothing feels overworked or taken away from the moment itself. What matters most is that you’re able to be fully present, while everything is documented in a way that reflects it honestly.
— Christey Mader, Bride, Orchid House Winery
“What truly set her apart, beyond her artistic talent, was the calm confidence she brought to the day. ”
Weddings can be hectic, but she helped us stay grounded and enjoy each moment. She also kept everything on track effortlessly, guiding the timeline with a relaxed and easygoing energy.
I’ve always been drawn to the emotional undercurrent of a wedding day.
The relationships, the quiet exchanges, and the moments that reveal something honest about the people experiencing them.
Over time, and through my own experiences in life, I’ve come to understand how deeply meaningful these moments become with time.
Not because they were perfect, but because they were real.
That perspective shapes the way I approach this work.
With awareness, emotional sensitivity, and a calm presence that allows people to remain fully in their day rather than pulled away from it.
I believe photographs become most valuable when they hold onto more than appearance alone… when they allow you to return to the feeling, the relationships, and the moments that may have otherwise gone unnoticed.
Because long after the day has passed, those are often the things that matter most.
with love, Renée

what stays with me
One family in particular trusted me to photograph both of their daughters’ weddings over the span of a year. Over time, I came to know them not just as clients, but as people I genuinely cared for. They were expressive, thoughtful with one another, and unafraid to tell the people around them how much they meant to them.
After one of the weddings, the mother sent me a message about a moment she had noticed while I was photographing her father-of-the-bride husband and bride-to-be daughter together. She shared that she could see how happy I looked quietly documenting it, and that it meant something to her knowing I was experiencing so much joy alongside their family.
That message has stayed with me ever since.
Because more than anything, that’s the kind of presence I hope to bring into every wedding day. Not simply documenting what it looked like, but caring deeply about the people experiencing it.
I don’t take that kind of trust lightly.
To be welcomed into moments like these is something I continue to hold with a great deal of care and gratitude.

The relationships we build and the people we choose to celebrate with are what give life its meaning.
The best moments aren't staged. They're experienced. I believe in creating space for you to fully live your wedding day.
The best photographs don't just show how a moment looked. They preserve how it felt, making space for genuine emotion, connection, and the moments that can't be staged.
